sci-fi ads!
and also how to initiate illicit human-squid contact
How 'bout you advertise in Space Squid? It guarantees that your core audience (sci-fi and humor fans who are careless with their money) will see it, our circ is comparable to many magazines and journals, and it'll probably be the cheapest ad you'll ever buy (starting at $20).
Want to contact us about other crap, like events, performances, or contributing art, jokes, writing, and slave labor? See below.
why buy a sci-fi ad?
We're carried at Book People, Dragon's Lair, and Monkey Wrench Books, and we distribute free issues aggressively online and at sci-fi events and conventions. We're well-known in the Central Texas convention scene. Current distribution is at 750 copies, most of it in print, with about 150 distributed via free PDF, all over the world.
As you probably know, the 'zine itself is a "Spy magazine for nerds," which parodies and yet celebrates speculative fiction. Our celeb contributors include Nebula award nominee Jennifer Pelland, Bruce Sterling ("father of cyberpunk"), and Jay Lake (editor of Polyphany and winner of the 2004 Campbell Award). We're weird, we're naughty, and we're sometimes even funny.
